Baked Parmesan Zucchini Fries: Part 2 of our Party Food series
March 17, 2016It’s half time, but football is a game of two halves. So you’re going to need these Baked Parmesan Zucchini Fries, part 2 of our epic healthy snackathon.
These baked zucchini fries crisp up beautifully in the oven, so no need for frying, and are downright addictive. Perfect as a snack or a side, a plate of these of the table will keep snackers quiet (well, except for the crunching).
They could also be adapted for kids by swapping out hot paprika for the smoky variety. Put out a bowl of Sriracha or your favourite hot sauce for adult dipping if you still need a hit of heat.
To ensure super crispy, crunchy fries, a great tip is to lay out the cut matchsticks of zucchini on a paper towel and allow some of their moisture to be absorbed. Try to avoid peaking in the oven while these babies are cooking (as this will cause the internal temperature of the stove to drop), and let them develop a strong golden brown before removing them from the oven. These fires are so good we reckon they may even replace the potato variety in your life!
