by Leila Our Cooking tools

The warmer (and thanks to La Niña, slightly wetter) weather is here and our social schedules are filled with long-awaited get-togethers.  Extended daylight hours, balmy evenings – there’s truly no better time to flex your *sun-kissed* muscles at summer entertaining!

If you’re excited to host, but feeling a bit out of practice, we’ve got you sorted with a guide to simple, delicious and stress-free entertaining!

     1. Keep it Simple

When it comes to food, you want to choose recipes that are suitable for sharing. Our limited edition Grill Kit recipes make alfresco dinners & summer entertaining a breeze! Each Grill Kit recipe comes with quality cuts of meat and seasonal sides, so you can serve up a flame-grilled deliciousness for everyone to enjoy. Choose your favourite recipes from our new summer menu and take the stress out of cooking on the day.

Has your small catch up suddenly become a full-blown summer BBQ? Simply add extra serves of your favourite meals or seasonal sides to turn your dinner into a feast – it’s the easiest way to feed a crowd this summer.

     2. Keep the drinks flowing

What’s a party without refreshing drinks? When you’ve spent the afternoon cooking at the BBQ there’s truly nothing better than a cool drink in hand to complete the moment. Fill an esky with plenty of ice, grab some fresh fruit and set up a designated beverage station. Some of our favourites include sweet lemonade, fresh fruit juices and summery spritzers!

Need some inspiration? Try our Blood Orange Gin and Tonic recipe to really impress your guests!

     3. Play some funky beats

Music is a great way to set the right ambience and bring everyone together. Choose songs you know your guests will like but throw in some that are surprising and upbeat to really charge up the summer mood. The right playlist will make everyone feel welcome and can be a great conversation starter!

     4. Dust off the BBQ

Nothing says summer like lighting up the grill and inviting your friends over for a classic Aussie cookout. We’ve been sizzling up an exciting range of recipes perfect for grilling & bbq’ing, so fire up the barbie and set the table, because BBQ’s with friends are back on the menu!

Don’t have a BBQ? No worries. Our delicious Grill Kit recipes can also be cooked to perfection in the oven.

     5. Relax and Enjoy

Once your menu is planned, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the delicious food and spend some quality time with family and friends. Sit back, relax and soak up the warm weather.
