Brilliant Broccoli!
August 5, 2015We know your Mum always used to say eat your greens, but did you know that the colour of veggies can actually indicate the fabulous nutrients within? Dark green broccoli is one of the most nutritious vegetables available. It’s packed full of vitamin C, folate, potassium, iron and vitamin e. It can also protect your body against carcinogens and other toxins.
Of course, sometimes it’s hard to see the forest for the trees. Besides all of the mineral magic going on inside broccoli, there are plenty of other reasons to love this little veggie battler. Here are some of our favourites!
The word broccoli stems from the Latin brachium, which means ‘branch’ or ‘arm’.

Broccoli is a cool weather crop, so it’s perfect for a hit of emerald green when other leafy veg aren’t as readily available.
