Bonne Fête Nationale! Bastille Day
July 15, 2015Did you know that the French don’t actually call their national holiday Bastille Day? If you’re in Paris, you should act like a local and call it Fête Nationale, or simply le quatorze juillet (July 14th). We are happy to have a few French nationals in our head office, and of course we don’t need an excuse to break out the soft cheese. It was a no-brainer: we’d need to celebrate France with our own little Bastille celebration at the office.
Our brilliant recipe team managed to scare up some seriously impressive cheese (served with bread of course – it’s more authentic that way) and some red wine for our little party. The roquefort in particular looked so monstrously good we couldn’t help but share it with you.
Look at that beauty! A cause for celebration in anyone’s book.
So let us know – how did you celebrate Bastille Day this year? Were you cooking up a storm with our French inspired lineup? Was a baguette involved? Breton stripes and berets? Share your continental tendencies with us in the comments.
