Introducing… Custom recipes!
May 21, 2021Have you noticed the exciting new addition to the weekly menu?
You can now customise certain ingredients in selected HelloFresh recipes, giving you even more control of dinnertime.
We’ve kept things flexible with the option to swap, add or upgrade ingredients, depending on the recipe. So, whether you fancy adding beef strips to your veggie stir-fry or swapping chicken thigh for chicken breast, we’ve got you sorted.

What are custom recipes?
There’s three custom recipes on the menu every week, each with a different option:
- Swap like-for-like ingredients. This might be a simple switch from pork strips to beef strips, to better suit your preferences.
- Add extra protein. Want double the bacon in your pasta? We don’t blame you!
- Upgrade certain ingredients. Fancy beef rump instead of beef strips? Upgrade (for a little extra) and take your dish to the next level.
All of these recipes have been tried and tested by our Culinary team to make sure each ingredient change is delicious. You’ll find the custom cooking instructions on the recipe card, so preparing dinner will be just as simple as you’re used to.
How will I know a recipe is customisable?
When you scroll through our menu, you’ll see certain recipes marked with the ‘Customise’ label above the recipe name. Simply take your pick, and tailor your recipe to better suit your household!
