Char siu beef and broccoli

    Sweeten up your dinner with this Chinese inspired beef and broccoli recipe.

    Ingredients for two people

    200 gvermicelli noodles
    1/2 tbsvegetable oil
    1garlic clove, minced
    300 gbeef mince
    1 cm pieceginger, grated
    1 tbsrice wine vinegar
    2 tbschar siu sauce
    1 headbroccoli, cut into florets & stems
    1/2long red chilli, chopped
    1/4 cupcoriander, chopped

    For the noodles

    Cook noodles according to packet instructions. Drain. Set aside.

    For the beef

    Meanwhile, heat oil in a large fry pan or wok over high heat. Add the garlic, beef and ginger, then breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon, cook for 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned.

    Add the rice wine vinegar and char sui sauce, then simmer for 1 minute. Add the broccoli and stir until warmed through.

    To serve

    Divide the noodles among plates and top with the beef mixture. Garnish with chilli and coriander, then serve.
