David Lazzaroni says:

When I cook pork belly for my family and friends (once a month), I always have the butcher trim out the bones but I keep them to use as a rest for the pork belly in the oven. I also place cloves of garlic (skin on) under the meat as well. The garlic and the additional cooked ribs make a nice side dish.

Greer says:

What a great idea David! Talk about maximising flavour.

A tip for keeping half an avocado from going brown.
Cut an onion into chunks and place in a plastic container with a tight fitting lid.place the cut avocado on top and put on the lid .
I have found this to work very well and it keeps the avocado in a good condition for a couple of days.

I’m on a LCHF diet and loving it. Can you have some LCHF meal plans, it would certainly help me.

The best way to keep an avocado fresh & green & to stop it going brown is to wrap the remaining unused avocado with seed in tact cover all in foil & place in fruit & vegie compartment in fridge, remember to scrap the avocado close to the skin as this contains the most nutrients . I never use butter always use avocado instead.

I do not see the best possible vegie – a beetroot. Beetroots are very healthy food. You can serve it fresh, cooked, fried or pickled. Hot or cold. As an addition to main meals or as soups…

Greer says:

Hi Maria,

We agree! Beetroot is one of our absolute favourites. We love it in kefir water or as a special side!
